Uncomfortably Numb

Chad | Uncategorized | Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Friday was supposed to be my last day at SCEA. The studio was closed all week due to the fires, so I went in on Monday to pick up my stuff, get my last check, sign some paperwork and say good-bye.

It was overwhelming to say the least. I really can’t express what this feels like; leaving this group of people and workplace. I know I am doing the right thing by moving on, and I have left other companies for varied reasons, but nothing has ever felt like this. By the time I left I literally was numb. We gathered in the break room at lunch and I thanked everyone for a great 6 and a half year run.

But alas, change is good. I am glad that myself and co-worker Jason Parks found my replacement and Mike should bring a lot of great things to the table.

Good luck and have fun VASG people! I will miss you all.

  1. Chad, sorry I was out and missed everything…I guess it was spontaneous or maybe I wasn’t invited?? ;)

    See you at Port.

You will be missed by everyone, but not by Rangers fans around here.

  2. I imagine leaving must have been hard. But hey, if you keep posting like this, in some small way, I’ll feel like you’re still around, pwning noobs and dishing out animation domination like a pro.

  3. @Scotty P: It’s after I leave you tell me there were rangers fans in our building? Probably the safest way to do it. It could have gotten ugly.

@Double A: If your ever in New England stop by for some foosball.
