Relations are crazy, very powerful, but also not well documented.  They can be very very hard to use with the damn interface to edit them.  The UI just gets clogged with all the connections.  But, again, they are extremely powerful.  The "scale and offset" node can do a lot of the operations of Maya's math nodes all in one fell swoop.

What is this snow you speak of? ;)  That's a great looking snow man! Very impressive.

I just starting looking at some fundamental videos on houdini.  Starting to ramp up.  Hey, have you heard of PYMEL?  and have you used it?  Also, is Jason Parks still at sony? i wanted to contact him.  Talk to you later buddy.

Yeah things are going well.  Although we have had a lot of snow this year.  He had 5 inches last night alone.  The kids love it and we built a 6 foot tall snowman this morning, so it ain't all bad :)

Seems like all the 3D apps are implementing python.  How are you liking Houdini?
